Hello,

Am flying into JFK next week and I have a suit case which needs a code to be opened. Is this okay? Will customs force it open?

They broke mine once and then just tied it up with a rope... Seriously, those guys are like that. I remember seeing a written notice somewhere that luggage should not be locked. Another time I was simply asked to unlock it, so they could check. It depends I guess...

Officially no food is allowed into the country. Being a Brit and residing in the USA, when I come back from Europe, I put half a dozen packs of Bacon in my suitcase that is checked in. Wrap very well in foil and protect with clothes. You then should be okay.

Hi, I know as a fact that you are not allowed to bring sausages in because I have done it myself and they took it away. But if you want to risk it, just put it in the checked bag. Good luck.

Does JFK have a duty free store where alcohol can be purchased for international flights

you can buy any type of alcohol but you wont get it. Instead they are going to ask for your boarding pass and you will get whatever you buy at the gate.

I am coming from CT and need to fly ourt of JFK. Take Metro North to Grand Central. What subway takes me to Penn Station? If I read the maps right, I can go from Penn Station on the LIRR to Jamaica, transfer to the Air Train which will take me directly to the airport..Is that correct. What are the fees?

You can take the E train from penn station to jamaica. Thats 2 dollar. Then u can get the air train from there. I'M not really sure but i think the air train will cost you 7 dollars.
