Karen, Maybe charging 3 for a trolley is not very "tourist friendly" but I don't think that any airport should take lessons from Heathrow. I flew through Heathrow on 3 separate occassions and missed my connection every single time. The lines at Heathrow are unrealistic and therefore maybe Heathrow should learn something from JFK

Do you pay them cash or credit card?
Its a shame, if you are flying in your air ticket already has the Airport fee paid for.
$3 is just irritating.

I have a question about spotting. I have some friends who will be flying in on an international flight. I have 2 questions:

1. How can I find out what runway the plane will be landing on?

2. How can I find out where to find the runway from some spotting point?

Thanks.

leaving JFK on friday i was asthonished about the way the security staff is organised. Some off them have a rude tone..long wainting lines before the x-ray of the handcarried stuff. And, we stood directly in front of one of these gates (you have to pull off your shoes), they close the line and leave us standing there like cows witout shoes. After 15 min and insisting, one guy strolling around, told us sth. about shift change.
This is absolutely unprofessional and a behaviour which is not acceptable , i am sorry!

Hi,

Quick comment from a Brit' who regularly flies to the US. The airport staff are helpful and friendly so long as the traveller is also friendly. If you choose to be a bad tempered, moaning parent, then I'm sure the airport staff will respond accordingly. They have to cope with hundreds of thousands of people a day, and I think they do it in a good mannered, professional way. Stop knocking the US, it's a good country populated by good,hard-working, friendly people.

Lee, reading your comment made me so happy!!!! If you were standing next to me I would probably give you a big hug. I am so tired of reading everyone's complaints that when I saw your comment especially from someone who is not an American it put a huge smile on my face. Thank you!!!!

I lost my non-driver license ID. Can I use my state
Benefit Card (with photo)as photo ID?

yes

My ride is dropping me off super-early at the terminal and I was wondering if there was much to do BEFORE checking in? Alternatively, is there a luggage drop I could use so I could hop into the city for a couple of hours?

hello i am traveling with my dog to colombia.i would like to know what documents and requirements to be able to travel with my dog.i also need the address and directions of the USDA building at JFK airport.

It would be best to take the AirTrain from Terminal 3 to Jamaica station, then Long Island Railroad to Penn Station. (The whole thing is very easy and takes only about 30 minutes). Then at Penn Station, it is a 5 minute cab or subway ride to little Italy. This will cost you $20 or less total, rather than a $50 cab ride, and will not take any longer.

hi can any tell me how much a taxi will roughly cost from terminal 3 to little italy ????? also ive been told there is some kind of tax i have to pay to the taxi driver is this true.
thanks leo.

Hi, i will take Jetblue airline on Friday, my ticket says it will be terminal 5, but the website says terminal 5 is closed? so where should i go? and where is the closest long-term parking? anywhere can I find directions? Thanks!
