Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK. T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century. T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world. T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America. T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually. T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year. T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station. I have to register my exit at a port of entry/departure, there's an office at Terminal 4 room 161/011, based on what I've found, but my departure to Montreal,Canada is from Terminal 8. What is the process and approximately how much time do I need to consider for this?

Airport Lounges at Terminal 4 or 8
I have someone traveling from Dubai,UAE to Dallas, TX via JFK. DBX->JFK is via Emirates and JFK->DFW is via American Airlines. He has a layover of about 8 hours. Are there any lounge facilities that any passenger can use at terminal 4 or 8? If not, what other options are available? Also, for baggage transfer between the terminals, would a baggage handler transfer the bags between the terminals, for a fee ofcourse? Also, he is a bit old. Would there be any assistance (like a wheel chair) available for him to travel between the terminals? Whom do I contact to make those arrangements?

Dear sir,
I'm arriving at JFK Terminal 4 around 7:30 am. Is it reasonable to expect to get to Manhattan around 10 am (West Village), taking into account immigration/customs and shuttle/taxi?

Worried about connecting time
Please advise if 2 hours are sufficient - my client (South African passport with US visa) is arriving at Terminal 4 with Egyptair from Cairo, MS985 at 15:15.
He then has to connect to Bermuda at 17:20, with American Airlines from Terminal 8.
That means he has 2 hours to clear customs and immigration (visa line) and has to change from terminal 4 to terminal 8.
Please advise soonest.

Baggage Transfer
Hi,
My mother is visiting me in Raleigh, NC. She already has a flight from New York to Abu Dhabi (JFK->CAI->AUH) on Egyptair. I need to buy her a separate ticket from RDU to JFK, however.
She told me that in the past she would usually have to pick up her suitcases in JFK and re-check them, but the last time she flew, they checked her all the way through. I noticed that Egyptair is in StarAlliance, which also includes United and US Airways, so figured they would be my best shot at securing my mom a less strenuous trip. However, the people reached when I tried a couple of different numbers listed on their webpages didn't seem to know.
You wouldn't happen to have this information by any chance, would you?
Where to meet kids traveling alone
My 12- and 10-year old niece and nephew are traveling alone from Poland to JFK, where I see they arrive at Terminal 4. As I understand I can't go into Baggage Claim to meet them, where can I pick them up?

2. arrive aer lingus at 19.40 and depart next day 5.45am american airlines

The first option is very tight and it will work very rarely(not even a slight delay of DUB flight).
You will spend at least 40-50 min. in customs/immigration and then you will have 10-15 min to move to terminal 8.
You have to be, I think, 1 hour(or 45 min if you have your boarding pass) prior to departure of the AA flight.

I'm travelling into terminal 7 at JFK and leaving from terminal 3. I have 3 hours 35 minutes between the two flights and i need to add on luggage for my Delta flight. I'm worried about having enough time to check in and pay for baggage at the JFK. Is there an airport kiosk check in point at terminal 3 in JFK where i can check in to a Delta flight?

Hi I have a question... My sister is flying alone for the first time and her flight lands in terminal 4 a 540 am... She has. A 2 hour layout and changes planes to terminal 8... My question is if she can get assistance changing terminals??
