You can use two different types of parking at JFK airport:
Long-Term JFK Airport Parking
Located at Lefferts Blvd, 4 miles from CTA
AirTrain services link parking with the terminals.
Parking rates
$18 for up to 24 hours
$6 for each 8-hour period over first 24 hours
Daily JFK Airport Parking
Green parking - Terminals 1,2,3
Blue parking - Terminal 4
Yellow parking - Terminals 5 & 6
Orange parking - Terminal 7
Red - Terminals 8 & 9
Parking rates
$3 for the first half hour
$6 for up to 1 hour
$3 for each additional half hour, up to $33 maximum each 24-hour period

We have a flight tomorrow at 8:55am at Terminal 5, and would like to park our car in the long-term parking lot since there's no car service available due to the weather. Anyone know that there will be parkings available there for tomorrow?

Digging car out
We are parked in long term parking, and arriving on the 29th. Will there be someone available at around 8:30 pm in Lot A to help us dig the car out? If not, are we charged for the extra days we will have to leave the car there until it can be dug out?

There is space available at
There is space available at Long Term Parking and you do not need a prior reservation. The train runs every 5 mins to the terminals . It takes around 15 mins from Long Term Parking to Terminal 7(United terminal).

So, do you think there will be some short term parking spaces available near Terminal 1 on Christmas day -- say around 4pm?

You should be fine at that time of the day. At 4 pm JFK airport and parking lot is not so busy.

i am dropping off my family at terminal 8 and parking in short term. if i assist my family with check-in, am i able to proceed with them down into the food court in terminal 8, or am i allowed to just help them check in and then leave?

Parking on christmas
We are flying Jet Blue Dec 25 and want to park in long term parking at around 6am Sat Dec 25. We are returning Dec 30th. Is there any chance that the lot will be full due to christmas/holiday travel?

Hi. I am picking up my boyfriend on the 30th of December. What terminal do I park near? and What is the # of the nearest lot to this terminal? Also, is the terminal in walking distance of the terminal? (for safety reasons) It is a very late flight (1am)
