Terminal 7

Hello,

I'm arriving in JFK from Spain on Friday. And I have a question. My mom said it's possible for my family to meet me in the baggage claim area. Is that true?

I would love to have my dad help me get my luggage off the carousel. But I feel like my mom is wrong. I thought that I have to get my luggage myself from baggage claim and go through customs before my family can meet me.

So am I right or is my mom right?

My mom is flying in from Australia by way of LA on Qantas, and I'm due to pick her up at terminal 7.

3 Questions:

My understanding is I won't be allowed to meet her until after she's gone through customs/immigration and picked up her luggage.
1) Is there a spot where I can meet her? We're just afraid if there are multiple exits I may not find her. This is her first time traveling to the states alone.

2) As a failsafe, is there a spot I can tell her to meet me at the terminal?

3) She's due to land at 5PM. What time should I expect her to come out after customs/immigration and baggage so I know when to arrive to pick her up?

I will arrive at Terminal 7 but i have to go pick my sister who arrives same day to terminal 4.How can y go from terminal 7 to Terminal 4?
Is there any bus between terminals or any train?are they free?

For a person arriving at 6:05 pm at Terminal 7 with Icelandair and leaving 8.30 pm from Terminal 3 with Delta Airlines on a domestic flight: 1. where does she check in for the Delta flight? 2. Where does she check in her baggage? 3. Will she see the airtrain as soon as she walks out of Terminal 7? Does she have to pay for the airtrain?

Can you pay for an upgrade at jfk airport at check-in?

I checked my luggage with Cathay Pacific on Nov 26th at about 7:20 AM. When I arrived at my destination and opened my bags some of my things were missing. Where and how can I report a theft if I am overseas?

Hi there. So anxious. Have not travelled for over seven years and I'd like to know I can get to terminal 7 from 8 without exiting the building. I had a bad experience when I changed flight from japan airline to American airline; I had to grab a taxi outside and almost gotten frostbite in a -8 degree weather. I only had a flimsy sweater. Please help and advise. Many thanks!
