Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK. T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century. T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world. T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America. T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually. T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year. T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station. T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

I am arriving in T4 at 3.50 PM and I have a connecting flight from T3 at 4.55 PM. I am going to travel only with a carry-on baggage. I'm in a hurry, as you can see. What would be the fastest way for me to get from T4 to T3? Airtrain? I would appriciate your help, because I can't miss this flight! :)

Directions
I am coming through a domestic flight by delta and need to fly international by Emirates (ie.terminal 4) Now I have heard that you have to get a train from domestic terminal to get to the international terminal. Is there any map or directions I can find for this. Thanks
Rules for Visitor in Terminal 4
My uncle and aunti would be arriving at T 8 by american airlines (AA 1008) at 4:40 pm and would depart by Kuwait Airways (KU 0102)through Terminal 4 at 0900 pm. I stay in NY and would like to see them for one hour in the terminal 4. Can any body suggest me how can I meet them. Some body told me I need special permission for that. Whom to contact for such?

Don´t know if this information is useless now, but there is a private lounge at Terminal 4 called "The Lounge".
They have a fee per 3 hour stay, which is minimal I assure you, where you are have free drinks and food and cozy sofas. Tried it once and now I stay at the Lounge every time I fly through JFK.

arring in terminal 4
My elderly mother will arrive at terminal 4 on Nov 2 2008 and has to go to Delta at terminal 3 for a connecting flight to Fort Lauderdale. What would be the easiest way for her to to terminal 3- she has trouble walking- and most important will she be exposed to the cold outside?
