Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK. T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century. T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world. T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America. T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually. T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year. T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station. T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.
Arriving T4; Departing T4
This may seem silly, but I'm arriving in Terminal 4 at 3:18PM and will have checked luggage. After I pick up my luggage from baggage claim, how do I get back to Terminal 4's check in counters? My next flight departs at 6:00PM. Will this be enough time to pick up checked luggage, go back to Terminal 4, re-check in and go through security?

Yea you'll definitely have enough time! just take the elevators to level 2 (check-in) and you'll be fine! have a nice trip!

My boyfriend is flying (without checked luggage)into JFK with Aer Lingus (terminal 4) and he needs to get through customs, pick up a new ticket at check-in with Delta, and then get through security to terminal 3 for his flight. He has 2 hours, will this be enough time or should he be running?

If he is flying out of Shannon then they have a new type of US customs done in Ireland so when he gets into the U.S. he most likely won't have to re-check his bags or go through customs or anything so that will cut down his time significantly.

I am reaching JFK on 1st Mar at 7:20 am by Emirates Airlines. From there I need to take connecting flight to Columbus from terminal 7 at 10:00 am. I have checked in baggage as well as cabin baggage. I'm here in pennsylvania and my mum is coming to visit me. she is arriving at jfk airport. to come here where I live, she has to go to port authority. I konw that there are shuttles from jfk to port authority. does anybody know about the times when they drive? and how often a day?

Delay of PIA
The PIA flight from Lahore(LRE), Pakistan had delayed in taking off by 5 1/2 hours due to heavy fog. I don't think that my daughter with her spouse & children may get connecting flight of Delta Air for Houston- Texas. Will they have to stay at NYC in a Hotel? If this happen who will provide Hotel for stay in NYC and arrange alternate flight for next day.
