Take yellow cab outside terminal. Cost will depend where in Brooklyn you are going to. Taxi to downtown Brooklyn is about $50.

Taxi is easiest and most direct but also most expensive. Metro North RR from Grand Central Station; Harlem line stops at Mt. Vernon-West or the New Haven line stops at Mt. Vernon-East. You can take the NYAS express bus from terminal to Grand Central ($15).
