Port Authority of New York

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey mulling JFK Saarinen terminal hotel
February 8, 2011

The historic Trans World Airlines terminal designed by Eero Saarinen at New York-JFK may become the central component of a new boutique hotel, according to news reports.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty and Stewart Newburgh airports, is looking for developers to “turn the vacant TWA Flight Center into the centerpiece of a small, high-end hotel that would allow the agency to reopen the terminal and recoup some of the money it spent restoring it,” USA Today reported.

The Associated Press reported that while no timeline was given, the interior of the terminal space would serve as an entry way and lobby for the hotel with restaurants and shops.

Old TWA Terminal

Hello.
I teach in a Spanish School of Architecture and this April I would like to visit with my students the old TWA Terminal, the one by Eero Saarinen. I would like to know if it will be open to the public then. Otherwise, is there any way to arrange a visit for them?
Thank you

School authorities? I don't

School authorities? I don't understand why. As I said, I need information of your T5: Is the old TWA building open to the public or not? Jetblue doesn't know anything about it and your airport phone number just let me to leave a recorded message that nobody answers afterwards. I've been phoning from Spain dozens of times. Please, help me.

International people and luggage

This would be my first time to JFK and getting connecting flights in the USA.

Im coming into Terminal 4 from the UK and need to get to Terminal 5 for Jet blue.

Do need to collect my luggage from Terminal 4 before proceeding to Terminal 5 as I am come from outside the USA or will my luggage automatically be taken to the JetBlue plane?

And do I need to get transport to move between each of these Terminals?

Thanks for your help
