- depending on time of day and route.
You'll have more control over your schedule with a rental car. Cheapest route is by train; Airtrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, either E subway or LIRR to Penn Station and NJ Transit to New Brunswick (approx. $25 total). Allow about three hours for train travel time, train transfers, etc. and be at JFK two hours before your return departure. See www.njtransit.com for train schedules and fares. If using a rental car be sure to arrive at JFK rental car return by 6am so you can be at your terminal by 6:30am. Allow at least 1.5 hours driving time. Rental cars are located at the Federal Circle stop on Airtrain, only takes about 10 minutes from there to terminal 5.
Does anyone know how far is the Ground Transportation desk from the arrival of the Aeroflot on terminal 1? I have someone who doesn't speak the language and has to be picked up from Ground Tr, so need to know how they would find it. Is it close/far?
It is very close - as soon as they exit customs is to the left hand side(next to the Hotel Reservation desk).

Hi, A group of 4 people will travel to NY next Sunday 12th. I want to know if taking Air Train from JFK terminal 8 until Howard Beach station to take subway A until Fulton St could be a good idea ?? Then we should transfer in Fulton St subway 6 (green) until 28 st where we need to go to.
Please advise we appreciate.
Regards,
Good idea however you can only get the #4 or #5 subway at Fulton St, the #6 originates at Chambers St. At Fulton St. transfer from the A to either the #4 or #5 to 14th St. and transfer to the #6 to 28th St.
I'm arriving at JFK Airport Sunday, at 7.00 am . How can I get to the 871 7th Ave at 55th St? What is better and easier for a foreingner among LIRR or subway?
Thank you!
Subway will get you closer to your destination, as LIRR will only take you to Penn Station at 34th St. Take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, then E subway to 7th Ave. (50th St.). Walk five short blocks north on 7th Ave. to 55th St.
Considering Oct,11th - at 09:00 AM,
What is the estimated time from JFK to 7th Ave, (50th St.) using AirTrain and E subway ?
And by taxi ?
I am flying in on friday to JFK and need to know the cheapest and easiest way to get from JFK to the Club Quarters World Trade Centre Hotel....
what is the best way please?
Hi!
How long does it take to go by subway and airtrain to jfk from Penn station?
KR Anna
About one hour by subway, a bit more $ but faster by LIRR; take Airtrain to Jamaica Station and E subway or LIRR to Penn Station.
I am going to be arriving into JFK on Monday at around 11pm, will I be able to get the air train at that time?
I will be wanting to head to Manhattan to a hostel, not sure which one yet.
If the trains are running at this time, how long would it take on public transport to get to Manhattan from the airport?
Airtrain and subways run 24/7. Travel time from terminal to Manhattan is about one hour, maybe more depending on your destination.
hey,
I'm gonna land in JFK airport.
I'll need the airTrain for 3 ways on the same day.
I know it cost 5$ for one way.
Is there a round trip ticket, or any cheaper way for 3 rides?
Where can i buy it?(Is it possible only when i'm off the train? or can I buy it even earlier at the airport?)
Thank you very much!!!
You'll have more control
