Hi!
I sent a package from Moscow, Russia to NY for my husband. Well, i sent it via EMS post (tracking number is EA069648727RU). It is held by custom of JFK for 3 days already. And delivery date is due. I paid full price and I want to know what is going on. There is an ointment in this package which my husband needs. Also, I want to know who's responsibility is this that it is not delivered on time, because here in Moscow they say that they are not responsible for any action of US custom. Well, it doesn't help at all.
Please contact me asap, my e-mail is yana.goda@gmail.com
Or at least give me a name of a person who i can contact.

I'm planning on bringing motion picture film on the flight (16mm and super 8mm). Its about 20 cartridges in all. Will they allow me to not pass it through the X-ray machine? Are there any preliminary actions I should take before arriving at the airport to make sure it goes smoothly?
just ask them nicely...or say that you are a photographer and that it would be very nice if they did a check by hand. goodluck!
I'm travelling with an infant, I wondered if they are entitled to a suitcase of their own?
It all depends on the airline that you are traveling with. Your best bet is to call the airline directly and ask them. In my experience they are allowed one checked piece of luggage and one carry-on. Hope this helps!
I believe that airport security staff are authorized to open and check your luggage at anytime during your trip if or when they feel that your luggage looks suspicious or it may contains things that make the luggage looks suspicous. However, after checking it, they have to leave a note in your luggage to let you know that they have gone thru your luggage for that security purposes and everything should be put back the way it should be. So, locking your luggage will not be a good ideal in for that instance. The lock itself sometimes might create suspicion.
I wouldnt recomend to even take a laptop threw carry on u should check it becous 1 time a friend took a laptop and they seid it wasnt aloud and they threw it at rigt THREW IT OUT we opened a lawsuit that they were suppost to let us go back and check it ia am a lawer this was in JFK in T1 we were flying to russia
i flew from JFK T7 (BA's terminal) on Sat 7th March 09 to London. I was travelling with 3 children and we had lots of hand luggage. at x-ray, we were told (as usual) to remove clothing, shoes, babies from strollers and all hand luggage and laptop to be placed in individual grey bins. we were directed to the line which normally services airline crew. when we got through we loaded everything in the grey bins that had gone through x-ray onto the strollers and carried the babies. 10 mins later whilst waiting by starbucks i realised that i hadn't picked up my laptop. i went back downstairs to find that it was no where to be seen. there were no other passengers near and i can only assume that one of the 10 or so security people that were hanging around took it. does anyone know if this has happened to anyone before? thanks in advance.
