Hi,

I have two hours to connect the flight from Cathay to AA arriving at 1pm

Two of the family members require special assistance(wheel chair) Will it speed up or slow down the immigration and security clearance? Is there any special security&immigration line for them? Thanks!

There is no special line for that purpose. But having wheelchair assistance is a big plus because the assistants know all the details of immigration/customs procedures. And they will take you to Terminal 8(AA) the fastest way.

Hi
I fly into JFK on June 15th at 1310 on Cathay CX 830 from HK.
Want to book Delta flight DL6399 to BNA Nashville at 1515.
2 hours should be enough time to connect flights, yes ?
If by chance we missed the connection, what is advised.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
Two hours is enough as long as Cathay is on time. In case you miss your connection you have to reschedule your Delta flight with a later one.

Appreciate your quick answer.
Can luggage be rechecked in at Termainal 7 , or do we need to take to Delta Terminal 3

Thanks

Mark

It depends on how you book the two flights - if you book them separately(or the bags are not checked through your final destination) then you have to take them and re-check them at T3. Otherwise - you can either transfer them at connecting flights counter(right after customs) at T7 or take them with you and re-check them at Delta check-in counter.

I am arriving into Terminal 3 (Delta) from DC and then travelling out of Terminal 7. What is the best way to transfer between terminals. How long should this take?

The best way is to take Airtrain across Terminal 3 building, on any track to terminal 7. It takes no more than 5 minutes to get there.

Hello,

I am in need of the desk # for Iceland Air at Terminal 7 JFK. The airline 800 # is not accepting calls at a reasonable time for me and due to all the flight problems in Europe. I would like to know how to proceed. Please let me know as soon as possible!!

Best,
Paul

Hi, we are family of 7 traveling from Hong Kong arriving at JFK at 1.10pm on Cathay Pacific.

Would we be able to make it for the American Airlines flight at 3.05pm? We are not US citizen(which makes the line shorter)

Is there any ground staffs that can help us to make it for the connection?

Where are the baggage claim for custom clearance? Where do we recheck-in our bags?

How do we get from Terminal 7 to Terminal 9?

Thanks a lot!

The baggage claim is right after you pass the immigration.
After you clear customs and exit the hall, turn to the right and you will find Connecting flights counter where you can transfer your bags onto your next flight.
The Airtrain Station is across the street and upstairs - take ANY train on track 1 and get off next stop(1min ride). that is American Airlines Terminal 8(Not 9).

Thanks for the quick reply!

So, do you think we can make it for the connection? How is the immigration line for non US citizen around noon?

We are flying on Thursday with CX830 scheduled to arrive at 1.10pm. We want to be able to catch on the only flight of the day to Chicago that departs at 3.05pm.

Thanks!

Around noon the terminal is not that busy so you should be fine. The problem with big group as yours is that you have to wait for every one of you to clear the formalities. Actually , non-citizens line tend to take more time, but I think you should be OK.

I am from Sydney Australia. Will arrive a few days ahead before my sister and she will be flying in from Hong Kong and arriving at Terminal 7.

I will have a hire car with me. What will be the best option for parking and picking her up?

I read somewhere that Orange parking lot will be best. Would you be able to confirm and what would be the cost if I need to park there for a few hours?

Yes, the Orange parking is the best to park for a short period of time for Terminal 7. It is $3 for every 30 min for up to $33 maximum in 24 hours period.
