Am sitting in JFK now
Hi all, have been at JFK since 0800 today. Was flying egypt air to cairo--got on the plane, but airport closed and we returned to gate. Thousands of people in the airport--do not believe anyone is landing either. Just came and told us that airport will open at 0500--have not heard from egypt air, but al-ethihad came and said that they would depart tomorrow at 1830. Snow is still coming hard, so who knows. Luckily, i am business class, so am sitting in a lounge. Most are sleeping on pizza boxes. Will let you know if i have more info.

The fact that jfk is due to open at 5am is encouraging. My boyfriends plane into Heathrow later this evening is still coming up as scheduled..Just as well as he cannot get in touch with the airline at all or the travel agent that he booked with. hopeful that he can get out tonight..Fingers crossed people can make it out of there today

Does anybody know the best way to get from JFK to Brooklyn with the recent airport closures? It appears the trains have been shut down and taxis aren,t picking up. Any suggestions?

I had a 2:45 pm United flight. After 3+ hrs on the plane,flight canceled. Next confirmed flight out is THURSDAY! Everything before then is standby. Airport is definitely going to be hectic the next few days.
