Im leaving Suffolk at 3:30 pm. Still trying, now AA is saying call back later or use the automated service.

I called and the woman I talked to said that the same thing that is on the website, that I should make my way to the airport and that it hasn't been cancelled yet, which wasn't much help to be honest.

I know my work in NY called a half day today, and I know the conditions aren't good, but I guess I will head that way too, although I'm willing to bet money that this flight will be cancelled. The only airlines flying into JFK this morning were Virgin and Continental. Not one AA flight made it in when the runway was open, but JFK doesn't reopen until 4pm EST., so no way to know for sure right now.

This flight was cancelled yesterday though, and was cancelled everyday LHR had snow last week, Dec 19, 20, 21.. which is to say I am NOT hopeful :(

We are in the same position in the UK. We are going to travel to the airport at 1pm GMT if out flight (which departs at 6pm GMT) has not been cancelled by operator.

ROYAL JORDANIAN DISPATCHED THE FLIGHT RJ261 TO JFK TODAY ESTIMATE TIME OF ARIVAL AT 2130 GMT ANY POSSIBILITY OF DIVERSION ???

So my flight is on Monday 9am, the airport is not going to reopen until noon, but my flight is still not canceled. What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to get to the airport in this blizzard?

I just checked, they rescheduled the time to 4:30pm, but still how can I get there???!!!

FYI: Airport is closed until 4PM 12/27/10. I had the same issue last night when the Airline operator said flight was confirmed and scheduled to leave @ 10:35PM, How is it possible with airport being closed, had to basically tell them they were idiots and after fighting for an hour, they finally realized i was correct and finally told me flight was cancelled. So I LUCKILY sit at home waiting with my infant daughter instead of waiting at the airport like an idiot. Moral of the story, airline operators and their supervisors are idiots. Thank you and hopefully we'll all be in the air safely very soon. Happy Holidays to all...

i have the same situation!!what should we do?

For everybody, the airport is closed until 4::00 PM, DEC/27 due to snow (Airport Closed Program by FAA), so stay in your houses and relax.

But I called up the airline and it's telling me that it's not canceled or anything. The question is how am I going to travel all the way from Staten Island when the roads are not shoveled at all?

DO we go according to the airline or the airport? I called up the airline and they said it's not canceled but the airport is not opening until 4pm.

I can't even contact the airline. Which number you guys called? I called 800-233-2742, but nobody answered. I check both JFK and Cathay Pacific web, neither of them says about cancel, but it was updated yesterday!!!

hey im on the cathay flight tonight but the one earlier hasnt flown yet, which means back up, i went to the website entered info to get alerts

does anybody know if this flight is cancelled. due to arrive 12/27 3:00pm (originally)

Hi, I have a Flyight to Brazil with stop in Panama 4:57 and have no idea what to do as the airport will open at 5AM
